The Cottage provides bed and breakfast abd self catering in Glen Austin, Midrand, Johannesburg.

The Cottage is a thatch cottage which offers 5 beautiful, comfortable rooms on a bed and breakfast basis and 2 apartments on a self catering basis in Midrand, Gauteng. 4 Rooms are in The Cottage and 2 rooms are in a beautiful modern flatlet.
We are personal yet elegant and accommodating. Beautiful spacious garden - out of city atmosphere.
Whether you are on a visit to Gauteng as a vacationer, on a business trip or doing a training course, your stay will be comfortable as well as memorable. Suitable for students. Small Conference Area.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be enjoyed 7 days a week. Bookings in advance required.

You can choose between the Golden Room with a queen size bed, upstairs (1st floor) with a beautiful view over the large garden, en suite bathroom, walk in cupboard and balcony.
The Periwinkle Room with a double bed, upstairs (1st floor) with a beautiful view over the large garden, private shower room.
The beautiful and spacious Turquoise room with a separate entrance on ground floor, en suite shower room, walk in cupboard with kitchenette with microwave gives room for 3 people sharing with a double bed as well as ¾ bed.
The Purple room with private entrance on groundfloor is an ideal family room or sharing room with a double bed and 2 X ¾ beds with an en suite shower room. A microwave and bar fridge in the room.
The Emerald Room with ensuite shower is part of a 2 bedroom flatlet (1st floor upstairs) and can be rented as a room with bed and breakfast or alternatively as self catering flat. (self catering minimum stay 2 nights)
The Sapphire Room with en suite shower is part of a 2 bedroom flatlet (1st floor upstairs)and can be rented as a room with bed and breakfast or alternatively as self catering flat. (self catering minimum stay 2 nights)
The self catering flatlet is equipped with a full kitchen with gas stove, microwave, fridge and dishwasher and own lounge.
Glen Austin is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa and situated halfway between Pretoria and Johannesburg.
The city is relatively modern, having experienced much growth in the last decade. A selection of restaurants in the area as well as Spa’s and other entertainment in the area of Midrand City Centre and Glen Austin.
All of this only 30 min from OR Tambo Int Airport, 5 min from Grand Central Airport and 8 Min from the Midrand Gautrain Station. Easy access to all main roads and highways.

Terms & Conditions
- The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
- Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
- If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving. - The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
- The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
- The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
- The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
